Spike's Swordfish II flies back onto the scene with this re-release!Good Smile Company and T-REX have teamed up to give us a truly spectacular 1/48 scale model of Spike Spiegel's Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop. An iconic spaceship from an iconic anime, the creation of this figure was overseen by mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane himself, so you know that no detail was glossed over in creating this 100% faithful representation of the Swordfish!
Several elements of the model are interactive and variable in how they look. From the foldable wings and the retractable landing gear to the plasma cannon that both swivels and telescopes, and even the removable spherical cockpit made of translucent parts. The cockpit can even open and house a miniature Spike Spiegel!
The makers also went above and beyond in the figure's paintwork. It has an authentic weathered look to it, reminding us that the Swordfish has been through quite a lot over the years, especially under Spike's care. Lastly, LED lights on the ship and its engine thrust reverser make this collectible a beauty for nighttime displays. All these touches make it a true gem for any space cowboy.
